World News | Middle East Tensions Rise: Is the US on the Verge of War Once Again?

The US has been heading towards a war-ridden Middle East and getting in between the Israel-Hamas war as per the latest update in world news.

As per a Reuters article, about 900 + US troops have arrived in the Middle East or are heading there to safeguard air defences for US personnel amid a surge in attacks by Iran affiliate groups as per reports from the Pentagon.

The United States in addition to this has sent warships and fighter aircraft to the region since the conflict began on October 7 and this includes 2 aircraft carriers in an attempt to tackle the Iran and Iran-backed groups.

The 2 US aircraft carrier strikes group contained roughly 7500 personnel each, 2 guided missile destroyers and nine air squadrons to the Eastern Mediterranean and Red Sea region. The capital also deployed an additional 4000 troops to the region, with another 2000 on standby adding to the roughly 30,000 troops already in the region.

World News | Nuclear Measures Taken by US Toward Middle East Conflict:

As per a report from Fox News, the US military has deployed a nuclear-powered submarine to the Middle East as deterrence against further escalation.

These submarines are part of the US’s “nuclear triad”, which includes nuclear weapons on land, in the air and on submarines. Additionally, the images that have surfaced have also depicted images of a nuclear-capable B1 bomber in the Middle East as per the world news updates incoming .

According to the report, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin said that the US believes Iranian allies might just try to make the Israel –  Hamas conflict worse.

Blinken further went on to say ” This is not what we want, nor what we’re looking for. Escalation is not required. We don’t want to see our forces or our personnel come under fire. But if that happens, we’re ready for it.”

The Israel- Hamas Conflict – How is this disastrous for the US?

With war and a destitute condition around the partners of the US, except Israel, who would nonetheless be overextended in such a situation, the US would probably have to do a big chunk of work in fighting and would have to bear a majority of the cost. Such a war escalation would lead to new levels of US commitment in the region at a time when the Middle East is not a central pillar in the US’s interests.

The US is already in a major war scenario in the Ukraine Russia war however with the new spending bill, they have to pull out from the scenario. In addition they are brushing off China in the Indo-Pacific while having a national debt of almost $33 trillion and running $1 trillion-plus in budget deficits.

A Future Outlook from Commodity Samachar:

Looking at the situation, head of research at Commodity Samachar, Ankit Kapoor had this to say.

“ The concerns arising from Iran might just be slowing down amid talks with Indian PM Narendra Modi’s discussions. While discussing the progress on the Chabahar port , the 2 leaders discussed the situation  in Gaza. In the Iranian President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raise’s remarks he called for an “immediate ceasefire” and argued that the situation in Gaza will have extra regional consequences. As per our observation there will be pressure on Gold and silver due to the situation until the expiry of the current contract period. “
